🐾 Help Stray Dogs in Ban Phe, Rayong

Hello, my name is Angie. I've been living in Thailand for 16 years, close to the temple Wat Nairai where I care for local stray dogs. It's not part of any organization — it's something I do because I can't watch them suffer. These dogs have no voice, no rights, and often no one to care for them.

I feed them daily, treat their wounds, vaccinate them, and organize sterilizations. Many of them came sick, injured, or starving — and I do my best to give them love and care. All dogs living at the temple or surroundings are already sterilized. Many thanks to VetVan Thailand who did this free of charge!

I’m sometimes asked why I dedicate myself to helping stray dogs, especially when there is so much human suffering in the world – in war zones, in areas of extreme poverty, in the midst of crises. The answer is simple and honest: Because I am here. Because I can help. Because I choose not to look away. That doesn’t mean human suffering doesn’t matter to me – quite the opposite. Compassion is not a limited resource. Each of us helps in our own way, with what we have, wherever we are. Some care for children, others support refugees, and some choose to protect animals. Together, we all contribute to making the world a little better. To me, every life matters. And if I can offer one of these dogs hope, safety, or even a loving home, then that is not “worth less” than any other kind of help. It’s simply my way of making a difference.

Why this website now? Juli2025. The answer is simple and honest as well: For 16 years, I've been caring for stray dogs in Thailand – including the many living at the local temple – driven by compassion and personal dedication. But now, with nearly 60 dogs depending on me, I've reached the limits of what I can manage financially by my own. Ongoing medical care, vaccinations, Heartgard, NexGard, and vet visits – all of it is essential, but no longer sustainable on my own. This website is a quiet call for help. Maybe there are people out there who feel the way I do, who care the way I care.

Donations help me afford food, medicine, and veterinary care, and to ensure that my protégés can live a protected life as dogs.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💛

🐶💔.All of them covered in ticks 🕷️, fleas

10.09.2025

Unbelievable 💔🐾 … Two tiny groups of puppies, maybe just 3 weeks old… One litter of 5 babies without their mama 😢 and another litter of 6 with their exhausted mother 🐶💔.
All of them covered in ticks 🕷️, fleas 🪳, and with swollen little bellies from worms… lying right next to a dangerous road 🚗💨.
It breaks my heart 💔💔 to see such innocent souls fighting to survive in such dangerous and painful conditions 😢🙏.They have no real shelter, only open huts with no protection 🏚️… and now the rainy season has started 🌧️😢. It is heartbreaking to imagine them there, cold, wet, and unsafe
They deserve love, care, safety, and a chance at life 🏡❤️.
📹 I’ll share the videos so you can see the reality… Please keep them in your thoughts 🙏✨.

Today, Bad News for Coffee 🐾💔

02.09.2025

Today we received Coffee’s latest blood test results. Unfortunately, there is no good news: her creatinine level has risen from 5 mg/dl to 7.5 mg/dl despite daily IVs 💉 and medication 💊.

We know this likely means the end for her 😢. Despite all efforts and daily medical care 🩺, we continue to give her love ❤️, warmth 🌸, and care – every day counts.

Daily medical care for Coffee, in the hope that she will recover.🙏❤️🐶

Coffee from Temple Wat Nairai got blood parasites

16.08.2025

In August 2016, Coffee was abandoned at the temple in Nairai 💔.
After she was spayed, our sweet girl turned into a little chubby queen 👑🐾.
Some time later, she injured her paw — her toe had been ripped off 😢.
When her fur got really matted ✂️, thankfully, a dear friend of mine came to help and shaved her.

Sadly, we now suspect blood parasites. Coffee lost already 10 kg! 🤒The vet has taken a blood sample 🩸 💔 and Coffee got some sad news from the vet:
🐾 She has kidney failure, anemia, and also a parasite (Dirofilaria repens) that comes from mosquitoes.
She will now get daily IV fluid under the skin, medicine and monthly parasite protection.
We’re hoping and praying she’ll be back to her happy, healthy self soon 🙏❤️🐶.We will give her all the love and care she needs ❤️🐶✨

Molly from Wat Nairai needs to see the vet...

16.08.2025

💔🐾 Molly from Nairai School got into a fight and tore part of her paw cushion. Thanks to the teacher who asked for help, i brought her to the vet today. The torn piece had to be removed, but she’s now on meds, her paw is covered, and she’ll get daily wound care. ❤️‍🩹

She’s a brave girl, and with love + treatment she’ll be back on her paws soon! 🐶✨

Musti is healed !

03.08.2025

Musti’s had a rough few weeks.
First, someone actually shot her with a bow and arrow. Unbelievable, but true.
Then, just as her wound started healing, she got into a nasty territory fight — with bite wounds on her neck and front leg.See previous blogs.
But after almost five weeks of daily care, cleaning, patience, and love... she’s finally healed.
Huge thanks to my Greatcousin Pascal – couldn’t have done it without you! 🐾💛

Happy Birthday, dear Sina – 16 Years of Love on Four Paws

02.08.2025

Today is a very special day: Our beloved Sina turns 16. 🐾

Back in 2009, we found her and her sister on the beach. They were just two little souls, quietly waiting for someone to care. Sina was the very first dog we took in – the one who started it all. Since then, so much has changed, but Sina has always been there.
Now she’s our oldest. A wise old lady with a soft heart. Her hips ache with arthritis, and her eyesight has faded over time. But her love for food – and for being close to us – hasn’t changed one bit.
Her favorite place? Right beside me in the kitchen while I cook, hoping something delicious might just fall to the floor. She knows exactly how to look at me to get a little treat – she’s had years to perfect that look!

Happy Birthday, old girl. You are truly one of a kind. 💛

So Much to Tell, Just Getting Started

30.06.2025

This website has only been online for a few days – so the blog currently contains just a few entries. But after 16 years of caring for street dogs here in Thailand, there are so many stories to tell: heartbreaking emergencies, tragic losses from disease outbreaks, but also uplifting tales that began in despair and ended in hope. So please don’t be surprised if the blog still looks a bit empty for now.
